JAMB FINALLY EXPOSES HOW 2022 UTME REGISTERATION WILL BE

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is adopting a cashless policy in the registration process for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

JAMB said with the adoption of the new system, it will be collecting the approved N700 registration fee on behalf of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres along with its UTME charge.

It explained that the money due to the centres would be remitted to their bank accounts on a weekly basis or any timeframe acceptable to the owners.

The new move, which was contained in a weekly bulletin issued by JAMB yesterday in Abuja, is to check the fraudulent activities of some of the CBT centres, which bill candidates above the stipulated fee.
